As a Colorado Engagement Photographer, I was really excited when Leah contacted me about her upcoming engagement and wedding! She told me her fiancé’s name was Daniel and they flew all the way to Colorado from Texas for me to capture their engagement session!
As we talked over the phone about her engagement shoot, she told me that she really wanted a Colorado mountain backdrop, snow, and trees! Fortunately, there was plenty of snow at Lookout Mountain, Golden Colorado during February, which is when we scheduled our session.
The high elevation and shady patches preserved some beautiful white snow for a winter look! I recommended a few stunning locations to her, and this is the one we settled on! I must say her decision did not disappoint! I love shooting at Lookout Mountain because the views are spectacular no matter what season!
This beautiful couple shares a charming history. They met 6 years ago. Daniel has a cousin whose wife played a little match making! She introduced Leah to Daniel and it was a perfect match!
One of my favorite parts about working with Leah is how well we connected on an emotional level! She really wanted a way to incorporate her grandmother into her engagement shoot since she played an important role in her life. Since she is sadly no longer here with us, Leah had an idea to incorporate a word that her grandmother had written into a bible in her photos. This way she could have a piece of her integrated into a meaningful moment in her life. Hearing about such a special part of her life really touched me and I was inspired to bring her vision to life.
Leah had planned out her engagement shoot and ordered two luxurious velvet dresses online. They were not expected to arrive before her engagement shoot, however, which was a huge disappointment for her. Luckily, it all worked out and the same day before her flight here to Colorado, she received them in the mail! We were both super excited and as you can see, they definitely paid off! We loved how romantic and elegant they looked in the photos!
I’m excited for Leah and Daniel’s return to Colorado during the Christmas season, when they plan to get married and celebrate their new journey together in marriage!
